Anyone else notice a lot more 'performance improvement' conversations?

0x317a…a7a2Lately, it feels like I'm hearing about more and more "performance improvement plans" or PIPs being initiated across different departments. It's not just my team, but I'm hearing whispers from colleagues in other divisions too. It used to be pretty rare, but now it seems to be happening with surprising frequency. It's making people nervous, you know? People are already feeling the pressure with workload and the general uncertainty. Now it feels like there's this undercurrent of 'make sure you're hitting every single metric, or else.' I'm wondering if this is a company-wide trend or if it's just a few specific managers trying to trim headcount indirectly. Anyone else experiencing this, or am I just in a bubble of concerned colleagues?
