Company-wide productivity push feels like it's coming at the expense of actual innovation.

0x317a…a7a2There's been a lot of internal messaging lately about maximizing efficiency and driving productivity. While I get that businesses need to perform, it feels like the focus has shifted entirely away from R&D and new idea generation. We're being pushed to streamline existing processes and deliver on current roadmaps, but there's very little room or encouragement for exploring new avenues or taking calculated risks. It feels like we're optimizing for yesterday's problems instead of building for tomorrow. Is anyone else feeling this? Like the pressure to just 'execute' is so high that any creative thinking or experimental projects are being sidelined or outright shut down due to perceived lack of immediate ROI. It's making the work feel very monotonous and, frankly, less engaging.
