Rethinking the 'Synergy' buzzword – Anyone else feel like it's code for something else?

Lately, it feels like every other meeting, someone's dropping the 'synergy' bomb. We're supposed to be collaborating more, integrating efforts, blah blah blah. But honestly, it feels like a lot of extra meetings with no clear outcome and a lot of people scrambling to understand what's actually expected of them. Is anyone else experiencing this? It feels like a way to justify workload redistribution without actually hiring anyone or giving raises. We're all stretched so thin already. It's starting to feel like we're just supposed to absorb more without any real support or resources. Just me, or is this 'synergy' thing actually making things *less* efficient?
