Seeing a lot more 'optional' travel being questioned. Anyone else?

0x22d3…b86aLately, it feels like every trip outside the local area, even for legitimate business needs, requires like three levels of approval and a full justification of ROI. Used to be a standard part of the job for many roles, but now it's like pulling teeth. Had a situation last week where a customer-facing meeting got pushed back because the budget for airfare was denied. That doesn't seem like good business sense. Is this a company-wide thing, or just my department getting hit harder? Feeling like we're being nickel-and-dimed to death, and it's impacting our ability to connect with the people who matter.
