Thoughts on the new 'organizational effectiveness' restructuring?

Hey everyone, has anyone else been hearing a lot of buzz lately about 'organizational effectiveness' initiatives or restructuring within Abbott? It feels like there's a lot of talk about optimizing teams and improving efficiency, but honestly, it's starting to create a bit of anxiety. I've seen a few roles disappear here and there, not necessarily through explicit layoffs, but more like positions being absorbed or 'phased out' as part of these changes. My team has had a few 'realignments' and it's hard to shake the feeling that something bigger is brewing. Anyone else in a similar boat or have any insights into what this might mean long-term? Trying to stay positive and focus on my work, but the uncertainty is definitely creeping in.

I've definitely noticed the talk around 'organizational effectiveness' too. It's hard not to feel the ripple effects when there's so much emphasis on optimization. The quiet disappearance of certain roles is unsettling, and the 'realignments' on my team have certainly shifted dynamics. Hoping for clarity soon on what this all means long-term for everyone.

Yeah, the 'organizational effectiveness' buzz is hard to miss. While efficiency is important, the way it's manifesting with roles being absorbed or phased out is causing a lot of uncertainty. It's making people anxious about their future. I'm trying to stay focused on my work, but it's tough when there's so much underlying change happening.
