What's up with R&D lately?

Just wondering if anyone else in R&D feels like things have been a bit... chaotic? Seeing a lot of shifting priorities and a general sense of uncertainty about upcoming projects. It's making it hard to plan and honestly, pretty stressful. My team's been tasked with a few new things that feel like they came out of nowhere, and the timelines are looking aggressive. Is this just my department or is there a broader organizational thing going on? Been here a few years and it feels different than usual. Curious if others are seeing similar patterns or if it's just the nature of drug development cycles.

I've been noticing some similar trends. It feels like the roadmap is being redrawn on a weekly basis, which makes it incredibly difficult to gain traction on any meaningful long-term initiatives. The constant pivots are definitely adding to the pressure, and I worry about the impact on innovation and employee morale if this continues. Hopefully, there's a clearer strategy emerging soon.

Yeah, my team's been feeling it too. There's definitely a buzz of rapid change, and while that can sometimes lead to exciting breakthroughs, the lack of clear direction is a challenge. It's tough to invest fully when the goalposts seem to keep moving. We're trying to stay agile, but it's a balancing act between responsiveness and strategic execution.
