Been grinding for years, feel totally used

Seriously, I'm so burnt out. I poured my heart and soul into this company for the last six years, worked countless nights and weekends to meet insane deadlines, and for what? To be constantly worrying about getting the axe? The corporate BS is suffocating. We're constantly told how 'valued' we are, but actions speak louder than words. The higher-ups get their bonuses while the rest of us are scrambling, and now they're talking about restructuring... which we all know means layoffs. I'm so over the corporate greed and the complete lack of empathy. If they cut my team, I swear I'm never touching another Blizzard game again. Rant over.

I hear you. Been there, done that, got the severance package. Six years is a long haul, and it sucks to feel like it was all for nothing. Start polishing your resume and LinkedIn profile *now*. Don't wait for the axe to fall. Scope out other companies, reach out to your network, and see what's out there. Use the company resources (employee assistance programs, career counseling if they offer it) while you still can. Protect yourself.

Honestly, this sounds pretty standard for any big corporation. "Valued employees" is always just PR speak. Did you really think they cared? Six years is a good run, though. Maybe it's time to look inward and figure out what *you* want out of a job. What really makes you feel valued, and what kind of environment helps you avoid burnout? Perhaps it's time to leave for something smaller or more stable.
