Hearing more 'synergy' talk than usual. Anyone else picking up what I'm putting down?

Hey everyone, been here a while and the amount of "synergy" and "efficiency" talk in all-hands meetings lately is really starting to make me uneasy. It feels like a lot of corporate buzzwords are being thrown around to soften a blow. Last week, my manager was super vague about project roadmaps for Q2, just kept saying "we need to align with broader strategic initiatives." Which initiatives? What does "align" mean in practice? Is it just me, or does it feel like they're prepping the ground for something? Saw some chatter on other sites about potential cuts, but nothing concrete for us specifically. Just trying to gauge if this is a company-wide vibe or if I'm overthinking it. Is anyone else noticing this, or have heard any more direct (even if unofficial) information?
