Is anyone else noticing a lot of 'critical roles only' hiring freeze?

What's up, ActiBlizz fam. Been trying to fill a couple of positions on my team for a while now, and it's been radio silence from HR for anything that isn't deemed 'absolutely critical to ongoing operations'. Even then, the approval process is insane. We've had two roles open for months and the hiring managers are getting the cold shoulder. This feels like more than just standard budget tightening. Usually, even during leaner times, you can get headcount approved for key backfills or strategic hires. Now, it feels like they're scrutinizing every single dollar being spent on new people. Combined with the general murmurings about restructuring and the recent news from Microsoft, it's starting to feel like a precursor to something bigger. Anyone else experiencing this same hiring paralysis across different departments? What are your managers saying, if anything?
