Severance Package Question - California Folks?

Hypothetically speaking, if layoffs *were* to happen in California, what's the standard severance package at Activision Blizzard? I've heard mixed things – some people say it's two weeks per year of service, others say it's more generous, especially for longer-term employees. I'm trying to get a sense of what to expect in a worst-case scenario. Any insights or experiences you can share (anonymously, of course) would be greatly appreciated. Also, does anyone know if they factor in unused PTO? Thanks!

My understanding, and this is based on scuttlebutt, is that it varies wildly depending on your role, level, and how long you've been there. Two weeks per year is probably a low-end estimate, but I've heard of significantly more for senior folks who've been around for a decade or more. It also seems to depend on *why* you're being let go. If it's a whole department shutting down, they might be more generous. Good luck, hope you don't need the info!

Take everything you hear with a grain of salt. People love to exaggerate these things. While it's true that severance packages can vary, don't count on anything beyond the legally required minimum, especially given the current climate. Start updating your resume *now*. As for PTO, they legally have to pay out any accrued, unused time off in California, so factor that into your calculations if things go south. Better to be prepared.
