Yeah, I've seen a few things like that too. It's super frustrating when you're trying to plan your next steps and the opportunities just vanish. My buddy in QA said their team's headcount got frozen unexpectedly last month, and they're apparently not backfilling any departures. Management's being really tight-lipped about it across the board, which just fuels the speculation. Hopefully, it's a temporary thing and things open up again soon, but it definitely feels like something's going on behind the scenes.
Honestly, it could just be normal pipeline management. Sometimes roles get filled internally faster than expected, or budgets get reallocated. I wouldn't jump straight to a company-wide freeze without more concrete info. Maybe they're just reassessing needs or consolidating teams. Keep checking back, and perhaps try networking with hiring managers directly if you have contacts? Sometimes those internal moves happen quietly and don't always show up on the public portal for long. Don't let the uncertainty get to you too much yet.
