AMD - Hearing whispers about potential cuts. Anyone seeing anything concrete?

Hey everyone, been working at AMD for a few years now, and lately, the atmosphere has felt...tense. I've been seeing a lot of internal 'reorganizations' and project 'streamlining' announcements, which, while not explicitly layoffs, definitely have that feeling. Saw some chatter on Blind and Hacker News about potential workforce reductions, but nothing official has come out from AMD itself. Just wanted to see if anyone else in the trenches is hearing or seeing anything more concrete. Are performance reviews suddenly harsher? Are there hiring freezes in certain departments? Any insights would be super helpful to put my mind at ease (or prepare for the worst, I guess). Trying to gauge the real situation beyond the vague corporate speak.

Yeah, I've been in the industry long enough to recognize the signs. The 'reorganizations' and 'streamlining' buzzwords are usually precursors. It's tough when things feel uncertain, and management isn't being transparent. Hoping for the best for everyone, but it's definitely a worrying time. Keep an eye on internal communications and any official announcements, though I suspect those might be few and far between until it's unavoidable.

Been watching AMD's stock and industry news pretty closely. While there's no smoke-and-mirrors here, the chip market is incredibly competitive right now. Competitors are pushing hard, and R&D costs are massive. If AMD is indeed facing headwinds, it wouldn't be entirely shocking. However, without official confirmation, it's all speculation. It's the waiting game that's the hardest part for everyone involved, for sure.
