Anyone else getting nervous? Things feel...off?

I've been at AMD for almost 5 years now, in the graphics division, and the vibe lately is just weird. My skip-level has been super vague in meetings, avoiding direct questions about future projects. We just finished a big launch, so you'd think things would be celebratory, but it feels more like everyone's holding their breath. I know the whole industry is turbulent right now, but the silence from leadership is making me think something's definitely brewing. Anyone else feeling this?

I'm not in graphics, but I've noticed a similar tension in the CPU group. Post-launch is usually when we start hearing whispers about the next gen, but it's been crickets. My manager keeps saying "focus on current objectives," which is code for "don't ask questions I can't answer." Layoffs are always a possibility in this industry, but the lack of transparency is what really stings. It makes it hard to plan anything.

Honestly, this sounds like standard operating procedure. Remember what happened after the 5000 series launched? Everyone thought we were doomed because Lisa Su wasn't doing backflips on stage. Turns out, we were just heads-down working on the next big thing. Maybe your skip-level is just trying to keep things under wraps to avoid leaks. I wouldn't panic just yet, but keep your resume updated, just in case.
