Anyone else hearing whispers about potential cuts at AMD?

Hey team, been seeing a lot of noise online about potential layoffs at AMD, but nothing concrete. Just wanted to see if anyone on the inside has heard anything more solid. Feels like the whole tech sector is shaky right now, and even though AMD has been doing some great work lately, especially with the new EPYC and Ryzen chips, you never know. PC market slowdown is real, and even server demand, while strong, might see some adjustments. My manager has been pretty cagey when I've tried to bring it up indirectly. Anyone else in a similar boat? Trying not to panic, but also want to be prepared if things go sideways. Seems like a lot of speculation out there, but it's hard to ignore when it's so widespread. Just looking for some real insights if anyone has them. Thanks.

I'm in a similar boat, haven't heard anything official but the rumors are definitely circulating. It's tough when there's so much uncertainty. The Ryzen and EPYC success has been awesome to see, and it feels like they've really been hitting their stride. Hopefully, this is just industry-wide jitters and not something specific to AMD. Fingers crossed for good news or at least clear communication soon.

Yeah, the chatter about potential staffing changes is definitely out there. While the company has had some huge wins with their recent product launches, especially in the high-performance segments, the broader economic climate is undeniably a concern for everyone. Server and PC markets are always subject to shifts. Let's hope for the best and that any adjustments are strategic rather than drastic.
