Hang in there! It's totally understandable to be thinking ahead, especially with all the uncertainty. While ADI might not have a super rigid formula published, 5 years is a decent chunk of time. Often, companies will offer something like a week or two of pay for every year of service, plus continuation of benefits for a few months. Definitely try to negotiate if you can – highlight your contributions and any specific projects you led. Don't be afraid to ask HR for clarity on their standard package, even if it's just a general outline.
Rumors are just rumors until HR puts out an official statement. I've seen many companies talk tough and then the layoffs don't materialize, or they're much smaller than expected. If it does happen, expect the standard minimums for your tenure, probably not much more unless you have a very senior role or a specific contract. Focus on updating your resume and networking in the meantime. That's your best bet regardless of what ADI does. Preparing yourself is the only proactive step you can take.
