Aon - Anyone else feeling the budget squeeze?

Hey everyone, Been with Aon for a few years now, and lately, things feel... tighter. It's not just me, right? My team's been seeing project approvals get more scrutinized, travel budgets are practically non-existent, and even those small perks we used to get seem to have vanished. I haven't heard any official word, and honestly, my work hasn't been directly impacted yet, but there's this underlying tension. It feels like management is being unusually cautious, and it's making me a little nervous. Are other departments experiencing this? Is it a company-wide thing, or just our area? Wondering if anyone has any unofficial insights or if this is just the new normal. Curious to hear what others are seeing on the ground. Trying to stay positive, but it's hard not to notice the shift.

Yeah, I'm definitely feeling it too. Seems like everything needs an extra layer of approval these days, and the 'nice-to-haves' are definitely off the table. It's a bit unsettling when you don't have a clear explanation, but the vibe is definitely one of increased caution. Hopefully, it's a temporary thing and things will loosen up soon.

Totally. My department's been hearing the same things about budget constraints. We've had to get creative with resources, and the usual team lunches or training budgets are definitely non-existent. It's not ideal, but trying to stay focused on the core deliverables and hope this period passes without major impact.
