Aon - Anyone else seeing increased workload/responsibility?

Lately, it feels like my plate is getting fuller and fuller at Aon. Projects that were once handled by multiple people are now falling on fewer shoulders. I'm trying to stay positive and see it as an opportunity to learn and grow, but it's definitely starting to wear thin. The workload is manageable, but the *rate* at which it's increasing is what's concerning. Combined with the general buzz about 'streamlining' and 'synergies' (which often translates to more work for less people), I'm wondering if this is a precursor to something else. No official word on layoffs, but the distributed workload feels like a tactical move. Has anyone else experienced a significant increase in their responsibilities without a corresponding increase in headcount or a clear strategic rationale? How are you managing it? Is anyone else feeling stretched thin and questioning the long-term sustainability of this pace?

Yeah, I'm feeling this too. It seems like the 'streamlining' has definitely meant fewer hands making light work. While growth opportunities are great, it's tough when the pace feels relentless. Trying to keep up without burning out is a constant balancing act. Hopefully, things level out, or we get some more resources to manage the increased demands.

Totally understand where you're coming from. The increased workload is palpable. It's like they expect us to absorb more with the same (or fewer) resources. I'm also trying to frame it positively as skill development, but honestly, the constant pressure is starting to take a toll. It would be good to hear if there's a strategy to handle this long-term, beyond just hoping we can cope.
