Aon - Anyone else seeing the budget cuts rolling out?

Been with Aon for a few years now and things have been feeling... tighter lately. It started subtly, like less budget for training and team events. Then the travel restrictions really kicked in. Now I'm hearing about slower hiring on some teams and a general 'do more with less' mantra being pushed. It's not outright layoffs that I know of, but the atmosphere definitely feels like management is preparing for something, or at least tightening the purse strings significantly. Anyone else in different departments noticing similar budget squeezes? Is this a company-wide thing or just specific divisions feeling the pinch?

Yeah, I've noticed it too. The training budget definitely took a hit, and it feels like we're expected to stretch resources thinner than ever. It's a bit concerning, honestly. Makes you wonder what the long-term strategy is when investment in growth and development seems to be scaling back. Hoping it's just a temporary phase, but the 'do more with less' message is hard to ignore.

Definitely seeing the signs. The shift from supporting initiatives to scrutinizing every expense is palpable. Travel has become a major hurdle, and even small team activities are harder to get approved. It creates a bit of an unsettling vibe when you're not sure what the rationale is behind the tighter controls. Curious to see if this impacts project timelines or client deliverables down the line.
