Anyone else feeling completely blindsided by this latest round?

Seriously, what the hell is going on? I'm in operations, been here 5 years, and we've been killing it. Metrics are up, projects are on track, and suddenly yesterday my whole team gets called into a surprise meeting. HR was there, manager looked like he'd seen a ghost. They said 'streamlining' and 'efficiency improvements.' Bull. We all know what that means. No warnings, no heads-up, just… gone. Feels like we're just numbers to them. Anyone else on the ops/supply chain side get hit? Trying to figure out if this was targeted or just a widespread purge.

Man, that's rough. I'm in a different department, but the vibe has been… off for a while now. Heard whispers about restructuring for months, but nothing concrete ever came out. It's a terrible way to treat people, especially when you've been putting in the work. Don't let them make you feel like just a number, your contributions mattered. Look into severance, and start updating that resume. This kind of thing usually signals bigger shakeups coming down the line.

Streamlining and efficiency, yeah, that's the corporate code for layoffs. It's a classic move, especially when things *seem* to be going well from the outside. They often cite these vague reasons to avoid admitting they overhired or mismanaged budgets. It's a punch to the gut, for sure. Focus on your next steps now. Network, talk to recruiters, and see what other opportunities are out there. You've got valuable experience, don't let this setback define you.
