Anyone else's workload suddenly *insane*?

Seriously, what's going on? I'm on the iOS software team, been here for 5 years, and the last two weeks have been brutal. It's like they're trying to squeeze every last drop out of us. My manager keeps saying "big things are coming" but it feels more like they're trying to get as much done as possible *before* something bad happens. Is anyone else experiencing this? I'm starting to think they're deliberately pushing people to quit instead of laying us off... less severance to pay out, I guess. It's shady AF, if true. I'm so stressed I can barely sleep. Anyone got any insight?

Yeah, I'm on the silicon side and feeling the same pressure. Deadlines are getting pulled forward constantly and the justification is always vague. Honestly, it feels like they are rushing a new chip design through faster than usual, and it wouldn't surprise me if it's not fully tested. I'm concerned about the quality of the product we are about to release. It might be time to start polishing the resume, just in case this all blows up.

I've been around long enough to see this cycle play out. "Big things are coming" usually just means aggressive deadlines and unrealistic expectations. While it could be a sign of something deeper like layoffs, it's more likely just the ramp-up before a major product launch. Try to document everything, set boundaries when possible, and remember to take your vacation time. Don't burn yourself out for a company that ultimately won't prioritize your well-being.
