Reading about some Apple folks in California being given the ultimatum to move to Texas or face layoffs. This is wild. Apple is practically printing money, so why the forced relocation? Is this just a way to shed employees without officially calling it a layoff, or are they genuinely trying to consolidate operations in lower-cost areas? It makes me nervous if I'm being honest. If they're willing to do this to established employees, what does that mean for the rest of us? Are there more cuts coming down the pipeline, maybe targeting specific roles or regions?
