Another Layoff Round Confirmed? What Departments Are Hit?

Heard rumblings about another wave of layoffs hitting around the end of May, possibly the 28th. The news articles are being vague, but the number seems to be significant, though not yet confirmed with an exact figure. I'm in [Department Name, e.g., Network Operations] and we've been told nothing, but there's definitely an undercurrent of anxiety. Has anyone received official notification or heard more specifics about which teams or roles are being impacted this time? It’s tough to plan or even focus when you’re constantly waiting for the other shoe to drop. Trying to get a sense of the scale and where the cuts are concentrated. Any intel would be appreciated.

Been feeling the same unease lately. My team hasn't heard anything concrete either, but the general atmosphere feels tense. You try not to listen to the gossip, but it's hard when management is so quiet about these things. I'm in [Another Department Name] and we're all just bracing ourselves. Hope you and your colleagues are okay, and that the rumors are exaggerated or that people are redeployed somewhere. It's a stressful time for everyone involved in these large corporations. Keep us updated if you hear anything more solid.

It's incredibly frustrating when the company doesn't communicate clearly about potential workforce changes. Employees deserve transparency, especially when their livelihoods are at stake. While I don't have specific information about the layoff date or affected departments, I can empathize with the anxiety. Many of us are feeling it. The lack of definitive answers only fuels the worry. Hoping for the best for everyone, but preparing for the worst is the only sensible approach in this kind of uncertainty. Let's hope this round is less impactful than previous ones.
