Another round of cuts in NJ. Anyone else hearing rumors?

So the WARN notice for Bedminster just dropped, 51 heads gone. Does anyone have visibility on whether this is the end of this particular wave or if there’s more coming down the pike for the rest of the NJ hubs? I’m hearing whispers from some of the middle managers that Q1 is going to be brutal across the board, not just in this specific location. It feels like the company is just hacking away at the workforce blindly to satisfy Wall Street before the next earnings call. I’m exhausted by the constant uncertainty. Every time my Teams icon goes green, I get a spike of adrenaline wondering if that’s the meeting invite that ends my tenure here. Is anyone actually feeling secure in their role right now? If you’re outside of the NJ area, are you seeing similar numbers, or is this a localized bloodbath? This place used to be a stable career, but now it feels like walking on eggshells every single day.

The mood here is absolutely toxic. I've been with the company for over a decade, and the constant threat of layoffs has made it impossible to focus on actual projects. It feels like we are just waiting for our own names to appear on the next list. Upper management is completely disconnected from the reality of the burnout we are facing. I wouldn't be surprised if the Q1 rumors are true; they seem to be prioritize cutting costs over maintaining any semblance of institutional knowledge or employee morale.

Honestly, stop looking for certainty in the middle managers because they are just as in the dark as we are. They get the same generic talking points about 'streamlining operations' right before they have to deliver the bad news. The Bedminster cuts are just the beginning. AT&T has been pivoting toward a lean-and-mean model for a while now, and the goal is clearly to make the balance sheet look pristine for the shareholders regardless of the human cost. Update your resume and start looking elsewhere now; don't wait for the axe to fall on your specific desk.
