Feeling the pressure - what's next for AT&T?

It feels like every other week there's some rumor or news article about AT&T cutting costs and jobs. The recent news about the 2026 layoffs, while a specific date, just confirms what most of us have been suspecting. My team's been understaffed for months, and the workload keeps increasing. We're constantly being told to do more with less, and frankly, it's exhausting. I'm trying to stay optimistic, but it's hard when you see the headlines and hear about other departments being restructured or downsized. Are they trying to streamline operations, or is this just a slow bleed? I've been with the company for a while and have seen ups and downs, but this feels different. It's like they're preparing for something big, and I'm not sure if that's a good or bad thing for the rank-and-file. Anyone else feeling this level of uncertainty? What are your thoughts on the company's direction?

The constant talk of layoffs and restructuring is definitely unsettling. It's tough to maintain morale and focus on your work when you feel like your job security is always on the line. The pressure to do more with less is palpable across many departments, and it's understandable why people are feeling burnt out and uncertain about the future. Hopefully, the company can find a more sustainable path forward that balances efficiency with employee well-being.

It's a challenging environment for sure. The focus on cost-cutting seems to be the driving force behind a lot of the recent decisions, and it's trickling down to the day-to-day operations. When teams are stretched thin and workloads are consistently high, it inevitably impacts productivity and creates a lot of stress. It would be good to see some clear communication about the long-term strategy and how employees fit into that picture, rather than just reacting to constant headlines.
