The cycle is exhausting, but it is the predictable reality of legacy telecom these days. They are bleeding subscribers to smaller, more agile competitors and trying to bridge that gap by trimming the workforce to satisfy Wall Street. It is a race to the bottom that prioritizes margins over actual service quality or employee morale. I stopped trying to read the internal announcements years ago because they all say the same thing while the product continues to get worse. It is definitely time to polish the resume if you have not already.
I honestly stopped caring about the corporate spin a long time ago. It is just business as usual for them. As long as the stock price stays afloat, they do not care about the people actually keeping the network running. You see the same pattern everywhere else in the industry, so moving to another carrier usually just means dealing with a different flavor of the same management incompetence. It is unfortunate, but expecting anything different from AT&T at this point is just setting yourself up for disappointment.
