I am so sorry you had to find out this way. Being locked out of your own account after eight years of service is incredibly disrespectful, even by corporate standards. It’s a sad reality that loyalty rarely means anything to AT&T leadership these days. Take some time for yourself today, process the frustration, and try not to let their poor communication reflect on your own worth. You’ll find something better where your experience is actually valued.
Same boat here. It’s insulting how they handle these layoffs, treating people like data points instead of human beings who built their systems. The complete lack of transparency from management is exactly what we’ve come to expect, but that doesn’t make the sting any less sharp. Don’t look back at this place. Dust off the resume when you're ready, reach out to your network, and move on to a company that at least has the decency to treat employees with basic professional respect.
