Anyone else feeling on edge about potential restructuring?

I've been at Autodesk for 7 years now, in the AEC division as a senior software engineer. Things have been... weird lately. There's been a noticeable slowdown in hiring, and I've heard whispers about 'efficiency improvements' in leadership meetings (from a friend who works close to the VP). We haven't had any official announcements, but the general vibe is making me nervous. My team just finished a big project and I'm worried that might make us a target. Am I just being paranoid, or is anyone else feeling like something's brewing? Considering dusting off my resume, just in case.

You're not alone. I'm in MFG and feeling the same. The 'efficiency improvements' line is classic corporate-speak for layoffs. My advice? Update your resume, connect with recruiters, and discreetly explore other options. It's better to be prepared than caught off guard. Even if it's nothing, it's good to know what else is out there.

Honestly, this happens every few years at Autodesk. They always talk about streamlining and then some projects get shuffled. It's disruptive, but it's not always a full-blown restructuring. I wouldn't panic *yet*. Wait for official confirmation before jumping to conclusions. Remember the last 'restructuring'? They just moved some teams around and everyone stressed for nothing.
