Autodesk - Anyone else tracking the 'efficiency' narrative?

Okay, so officially, there's been no major announcement or confirmation of widespread layoffs from ADSK itself, but the persistent rumors and external reports are hard to ignore. It feels like every few months, another outlet reports significant job cuts, sometimes citing AI investments or 'strategic realignments.' I'm in R&D, and we're constantly being pushed to do more with less, which is standard in tech, but it feels amplified lately. We're seeing hiring freezes in some departments and a general slowdown in onboarding new headcount. It’s making me wonder if a larger restructuring is already underway, perhaps in phases, or if these external reports are just speculative noise. Curious if anyone has intel from internal sources or if your teams are experiencing similar shifts.

I've definitely noticed the 'efficiency' push too. It seems like the company is really focused on streamlining operations and optimizing resources across the board. While it can create pressure to do more with existing teams, it's also a common business practice to adapt to market demands and technological shifts. Hopefully, it leads to smarter workflows and better overall productivity for everyone involved in the long run.

Yeah, the internal communications around 'efficiency' have been pretty consistent. It's understandable that a large company like Autodesk would be looking for ways to improve performance and adapt to the evolving landscape. The pressure to deliver more with less is definitely a challenge, but I'm trying to focus on the opportunities it presents for innovation and process improvement within my own team. It's a tough environment, but we're making it work.
