Is anyone else feeling the squeeze at Boeing? Hiring freeze?

Hey all, been at Boeing for a few years now, and things are starting to feel a bit weird. My team's been told hiring is on hold for the foreseeable future, and there's been zero movement on internal transfers. Usually, there are always some opportunities popping up, but it's been crickets for months. I've heard some chatter about budgets being tightened across the board, and it's making me a little nervous. Anyone else seeing this? Is this just a seasonal thing, or is something bigger brewing? Trying not to read too much into rumors, but the silence is deafening. Curious if others in different divisions are experiencing the same.

Yeah, I'm seeing something similar in my department. It's definitely a shift from the usual pace. We've had a few critical roles that are just sitting open with no real update on when they'll be filled. It's causing some strain on the existing team. Makes you wonder what the long-term plan is if they're not bringing in new talent to support current projects and future growth. Definitely a lot of uncertainty floating around.

Definitely not just you. The 'hush hush' on hiring has been noticeable for a while now, at least in my corner of the company. Feels like the focus is on optimizing what we have rather than expanding. It's understandable given the current climate, but it does put a damper on career progression and new project initiatives. Hoping it's a temporary adjustment and not a sign of deeper issues.
