Saw the WARN notice drop for the New Orleans Gentilly facility. 178 of us are officially on the chopping block come April 18th. It feels like the slow bleed just never ends with this company. I’ve been here for over six years, and honestly, the uncertainty is worse than the actual news. Does anyone know if they are honoring the usual package for this round, or are they stripping back benefits as the losses continue to pile up? I’ve seen some folks in other departments saying they got a decent cushion, but given the current state of the balance sheet, I’m worried they’re going to pull a bait and switch. I’m already hitting the job boards, but the market for our specific niche is looking pretty grim right now. If anyone has internal info or a link to the updated policy docs for the 2025 cycle, I’d appreciate a heads-up. Good luck to everyone else waiting for the other shoe to drop.

I'm sorry you're going through this. Usually, the WARN notice triggers a specific package based on years of service, but keep a close eye on your HR portal for the exact breakdown. Given the current leadership’s focus on cutting costs, don’t assume it will be as generous as previous rounds. Make sure to download your digital pay stubs and performance records now before you lose system access. It’s a rough spot to be in, but prioritize getting your resume updated while you’re still technically on the clock.

It’s just par for the course with this management team lately. They keep trimming the fat while the stock price takes a hit, and it’s always the people on the floor who pay the price for their poor strategic decisions. I wouldn’t hold my breath for anything above the bare minimum requirements. Check your internal handbook one last time to see what’s guaranteed by policy. It’s honestly exhausting watching them carve up the company like this every few months while the C-suite stays untouched.
