Seriously considering jumping ship - this place is a mess!

I'm so done. Been at Boeing for 12 years, and it's just a constant cycle of reorgs, cost-cutting, and general chaos. The 'stairway' initiative? A joke. My team is constantly understaffed, and the pressure to deliver is insane. My mental health is in the toilet. Honestly, the only thing keeping me here is the (relatively) decent pay and benefits. But I'm starting to think it's not worth it anymore. Anyone else feeling this way? I'm seriously considering just throwing in the towel and finding something less soul-crushing. I'm in supply chain, btw. Thinking about moving into project management, somewhere, anywhere, that doesn't feel like this.

I hear you. Been at Boeing for almost as long, and the decline has been palpable. The constant reorganizations are exhausting, and it feels like we're always chasing the next shiny object instead of focusing on fundamentals. My advice? Start quietly networking and exploring other options. Don't make any rash decisions, but having a Plan B (or C) can significantly reduce the stress. Your mental health is paramount.

Twelve years, huh? Maybe it's time to recognize you've gotten comfortable. Boeing's a big company; some departments are better than others. Instead of complaining, have you considered transferring internally? Or maybe you've just forgotten what the job market is like outside. Grass isn't always greener, and those 'decent' benefits are probably better than you'd find elsewhere. Just a thought.
