Anyone on the manufacturing side hearing anything?

I'm in manufacturing operations, been at Broadcom for about 7 years now. We haven't had any major shifts or announcements, but there's been a lot of 'streamlining' discussions happening at the higher levels. I've heard whispers about consolidating certain sites or processes, but nothing concrete. Just trying to gauge if the pressure is building in other areas too. It feels different from the usual business cycle stuff. Are the Fab folks or equipment engineers seeing any changes or conversations that seem... off?

Yeah, I'm in equipment engineering and have definitely felt a shift. Not huge layoffs or anything dramatic yet, but a definite increase in scrutiny on project timelines and resource allocation. Seems like there's a push for efficiency across the board. Been hearing more questions about ROI on new equipment purchases and whether existing assets can be better utilized. It does feel more than just a typical Q4 push; more strategic, I guess. Hope it doesn't mean a slowdown down the line.

Streamlining discussions have been the norm for a while, honestly. Seven years is a good run, and Broadcom has always been about optimization. I'm not sure 'whispers' about consolidation are anything new, could just be standard business evolution. Unless there's been a specific announcement or a noticeable change in my day-to-day work, I'm not too worried. The 'pressure' might just be the usual corporate hum. Focus on your metrics and keep your head down.
