Yeah, that's definitely unsettling. Could be a reorganization, a shift in priorities at a higher level, or even just a temporary freeze on hiring. Sometimes headcount gets reallocated between departments without much fanfare. I've seen similar things happen at other companies, usually before the bad news comes out. Keep an eye on things and maybe casually check in with some colleagues outside your immediate team to see if they're hearing anything.
Three senior roles vanishing overnight? That screams budget cuts to me. Broadcom's been making a lot of acquisitions lately, and those always come with 'synergies' AKA layoffs. Start updating your resume, just in case. It's better to be prepared than caught off guard. Also, Boulder is probably a higher cost center than some of their other locations, so it could be a target. Good luck, and don't panic... yet.
