Ugh, just saw the news about another 400 layoffs hitting Cisco, this time in California. This is getting ridiculous. Feels like every few months there's a new round. I'm based in the Bay Area and the vibe here is definitely tense. Makes you wonder about the long-term stability of the company, especially when you hear about record revenues in the same breath. I'm starting to update my resume again, even though I thought I was safe after the last round. Anyone else feeling this or have insights into what's driving these consistent cuts? Are certain departments being targeted more than others? It's hard to plan for the future when the ground keeps shifting beneath your feet. Just looking for some honest conversation and maybe some clarity from others in a similar boat.

Yeah, it's really disheartening to see these constant rounds of layoffs, especially when the company is still reporting strong financial results. It creates a lot of anxiety for employees, myself included. I've been with Cisco for a while, and this feels different, more frequent and widespread. This news is definitely concerning. The repeated layoffs are making it hard to feel secure in your role, regardless of your performance or tenure.
