With the latest layoff announcement impacting ~400 people in California, I'm curious about the severance packages being offered this time around. I haven't been directly affected, but I've heard from a few colleagues who were. From what they're saying, it seems like the packages are pretty standard for Cisco, at least based on previous rounds. Some are getting a decent number of weeks' pay based on tenure, and there's mention of outplacement services being offered. It's always a tough time when these announcements happen. While I haven't seen the official severance details myself, I'm hoping they're being fair this time around, especially given the current economic climate.
