I haven't been directly affected, but I've heard from a few colleagues who were. From what they're saying, it seems like the packages are pretty standard for Cisco, at least based on previous rounds. Some are getting a decent number of weeks' pay based on tenure, and there's mention of outplacement services being offered. However, the specifics do seem to vary quite a bit depending on role and level, which isn't surprising. Waiting to see if anyone shares concrete numbers.
It's always a tough time when these announcements happen. While I haven't seen the official severance details myself, I'm hoping they're being fair this time around, especially given the current economic climate. People put a lot of years in, and a little extra support on the way out goes a long way. Hopefully, the extended benefits and outplacement are robust enough to genuinely help folks transition. Fingers crossed for everyone impacted.
