CFI - Anyone else feeling the 'efficiency drive' pinch?

Lately, it feels like every other meeting is about "driving efficiencies" or "streamlining processes." My team's workload hasn't really decreased, but there's a lot of chatter about doing more with less, and some roles that used to be filled are now open for extended periods or just… gone. Anyone else in a similar boat? It's not outright layoffs that I've seen or heard concrete confirmation of, but the atmosphere is definitely changing. Feels like we're being prepped for something, or maybe just a general cost-cutting push. Curious to hear if this is widespread across CFI or just my department.

Yeah, I've noticed the same vibe. It feels like the language has shifted pretty significantly in the last few quarters. Lots of talk about 'optimization' and 'synergy' which, translated, seems to mean a lot of added pressure without necessarily adding resources. It's unsettling, for sure. Makes you wonder what the end goal really is beyond just cutting costs.

Totally get what you're saying. The 'efficiency drive' has been a constant drumbeat in my department too. We're being asked to take on more responsibilities and handle tasks that used to belong to other teams, all while being told we need to be more productive. It's creating a lot of extra stress and a feeling of being stretched too thin. It's definitely a noticeable shift in the workplace culture.
