CFI - Anyone else noticing the 'quiet'?

Hey folks, been at CFI for a few years now and things have felt... different lately. Usually, you hear a bit of buzz about new projects, team expansions, or even just general office chatter. But for the past couple of months, it's been eerily quiet. My manager's been really cagey about future plans, and I've noticed a definite slowdown in new hires across a few departments I interact with. Project budgets seem tighter too, with more layers of approval needed for even minor expenses. Anyone else picking up on this? Is it just my area, or is there a broader shift happening that hasn't been officially communicated?

I've been with Citizens for a while now, and I can definitely relate to what you're feeling. The vibe has shifted; it's less dynamic than it used to be. It's not just a feeling either, the reduced hiring and increased scrutiny on budgets are tangible signs. It makes you wonder if there's a larger strategic shift happening behind the scenes that isn't being communicated openly. Hopefully, it's just a temporary lull and things will pick up again soon. Until then, I'm just trying to stay focused on my current responsibilities.

Interesting post. My experience at Citizens has been a bit different, though I do sense a more cautious approach lately. My team is still moving forward with projects, but there's definitely a bit more deliberation before greenlighting new initiatives or significant spending. It might be a sign of the company consolidating or re-evaluating its priorities in the current economic climate. I haven't noticed a complete halt in hiring, but perhaps it's more targeted now. Time will tell if this 'quiet' is strategic or something else.
