I've noticed something similar in my division lately. The 'efficiency' drive seems to translate into longer hours and more pressure to deliver with fewer hands. It's definitely creating a more stressful environment, and I'm wondering if this is a sustainable path or if there's a larger restructuring on the horizon that isn't being fully communicated. It's hard to stay motivated when you feel like you're constantly running to stand still.
Totally get where you're coming from. We've been hearing the same buzzwords about optimization, and it's translating into tighter budgets and more scrutiny on everything. It's creating a bit of a 'scarcity' mindset, and while I appreciate the need to be prudent, it's making it tough to innovate or even just maintain current service levels without feeling like we're compromising quality. Hopefully, it's a temporary phase.
