Citizens Bank - Hiring freeze rumors intensifying?

Hey everyone, been hearing some chatter lately about a potential hiring freeze across a few departments at Citizens. Nothing official, of course, but the whispers are getting louder. My manager has been super cagey about any new roles opening up, and I've noticed a lot fewer recruiters reaching out for internal openings. Anyone else picked up on this? Feels like things are tightening up, and I'm starting to get a little nervous about what it means for job security down the line. It's weird because the market seems okay in general, but within CFG, it feels like a different story. Just trying to gauge if this is a widespread feeling or if I'm just in a particularly affected area. What are you guys seeing or hearing in your teams?

I've also been sensing a shift at Citizens. It's not just you. The internal job board has been pretty stagnant lately, and even when positions do pop up, they seem to be filled internally very quickly, if they're posted at all. My team has been told to hold off on backfilling any vacated roles unless absolutely critical. It's definitely a different atmosphere than it was a year ago, and the lack of transparency is fueling the anxiety. Hopefully, it's just a temporary belt-tightening measure. Fingers crossed it doesn't signal a larger issue.
