Citizens Bank - Is anyone else seeing increased workload without headcount?

Hey everyone, Been at Citizens for a few years now, and lately it feels like we're being asked to do more with less. It's not like there have been any official announcements about layoffs, but the workload in my department has definitely ramped up. Projects that used to have multiple people on them are now being handled by one or two, and people are stretched thin. Performance reviews seem to be focusing a lot on 'efficiency' and 'productivity,' which is fine, but when you're already at capacity, it just feels like pressure. Is this a company-wide thing, or is it just my team/division? Curious to hear if others are experiencing similar trends. Are they expecting us to absorb more or is something else brewing? Feels a bit like a slow-motion reduction without the official announcement, if that makes sense. Just trying to gauge the mood and see if I'm overthinking it. Anyone else in a similar boat?

Yes, absolutely. I've noticed the same trend over the past year. It feels like a constant push for higher output without a corresponding increase in resources. It's leading to a lot of burnout in my team, and I'm worried about the long-term impact on morale and the quality of our work. The focus on efficiency is understandable from a business perspective, but it's creating a very stressful environment for those of us on the ground actually doing the work.
