Citizens Bank - Rumblings about departmental cuts?

Been hearing some whispers in the hallways, nothing concrete, but enough to make me uneasy. It seems like certain departments are being looked at more closely than others. Anyone have intel on specific areas that might be facing scrutiny or potential reductions? I'm not trying to spread rumors, but I'm also not trying to be blindsided. Trying to gauge if this is just general 'belt-tightening' or if there's more to it. Has anyone been part of a team meeting where 'synergies' or 'streamlining' were discussed in a way that felt more pointed than usual? Any insights would be appreciated, especially from those in areas like operations or back-office functions.

Definitely feeling the same vibe. It's hard to ignore the shift in atmosphere. I've noticed a lot more 'efficiency' talks in recent team meetings, which usually translates to something uncomfortable down the line. It's good to know I'm not the only one picking up on this. Hoping for some clarity soon, but bracing for impact feels prudent.

I can echo those concerns. While nothing has been officially announced, the grapevine is definitely buzzing. It's the classic 'preparing for change' rhetoric. Best to stay informed and ready for whatever comes. Keeping your head down and performing well is probably the best strategy for now, but it's unsettling, no doubt.
