Citizens Bank - The 'transition' period is getting real

Is it just me, or has the 'transition' period at Citizens Bank been dragging on forever? Feels like we've been in this state of flux for months. New leadership, new strategies being talked about, and a lot of existing processes seem to be in limbo. I've noticed a definite slowdown in some projects, and people are hesitant to make decisions without getting the 'green light' from multiple levels. It's creating a lot of frustration and making it hard to get work done efficiently. My manager is also pretty tight-lipped, just saying 'we're adapting.' I get that companies evolve, but the lack of clear communication is what's really getting to me. Feels like we're walking on eggshells. Anyone else in a similar boat? What are you doing to navigate this uncertainty?

I hear you. It definitely feels like the post-merger or whatever-this-is period is stretching out indefinitely. The uncertainty is palpable, and you can feel the hesitation ripple through teams. Decisions seem to be bottlenecked, and frankly, it's impacting morale and productivity. I've seen similar slowdowns on my end, with people afraid to step out of line or commit to anything without layers of approval. Hopefully, some clarity comes soon, but right now it's a bit of a grind.

Totally agree. This 'transition' phase feels more like a perpetual state of flux than a temporary adjustment. The constant talk of new strategies without concrete implementation is creating a lot of noise and confusion. It's tough to stay motivated when things feel stuck in neutral. I've noticed a definite dip in proactive engagement; everyone seems to be waiting for the dust to settle. Wondering when we'll actually see some forward momentum instead of just more discussion.
