Citizens Financial - Anyone else feeling the 'efficiency' push?

Been seeing a lot of talk about 'optimizing' and 'streamlining' lately. Feels like corporate buzzword bingo, but it's making me a little antsy. My team's been told to re-evaluate our workflows, and honestly, it feels like they're just looking for places to cut. Anyone else's department getting the same 'efficiency' treatment? Trying to gauge if this is a company-wide thing or just our corner of the bank. Trying not to spiral, but the whispers are getting louder.

Yeah, it's definitely a company-wide vibe. We've been hearing similar things in my department about 'synergies' and 'best practices.' They had a town hall last week that was basically an hour of jargon. It's hard not to get a little worried when you hear terms like 'resource reallocation' thrown around, especially with all the market uncertainty. Just trying to keep my head down and do good work, but the uncertainty is palpable. Hope it’s just a phase and not something more serious.

You're not alone. It feels like every other email is about some new 'initiative' to make us 'more agile' or 'leaner.' My manager is already talking about cross-training and reducing redundancies. It's exhausting trying to keep up with all the new terminology while still actually getting the job done. I keep wondering if this is just standard corporate speak during tough economic times, or if there's a bigger restructuring on the horizon. Either way, it's definitely creating a tense atmosphere.
