Citizens Financial - Internal Shifts & Rumors?

Hey everyone, been at CFI for a few years now and lately, things feel a bit... uncertain. Not hearing any specific layoff talk, but there are definitely some internal reorganizations happening. Teams are being reshuffled, some projects are getting deprioritized, and there's a general sense of 'wait and see' among colleagues. It's not the same energy as even six months ago. Anyone else in a similar boat or hearing anything more concrete? Is this a wider trend across the bank, or just specific departments feeling the pinch? Curious to hear what others are observing, especially if you're in risk, compliance, or IT. Trying to gauge the overall sentiment here. It's tough when there's no official word, just these subtle shifts that make you wonder what's next.

I'm seeing some of the same vibes at my branch. Feels like a lot of shuffling without much clear direction coming down. Lots of meetings about 'synergies' and 'optimizing resources,' which usually means someone's job is on the line eventually, even if they aren't saying it outright. Definitely makes it hard to plan for the future when you don't know what 'the future' even looks like here. Curious to hear if anyone has intel on what's driving these changes.

Yeah, it's definitely not just you. My department has had a couple of unexpected reassignments and our main project just got put on indefinite hold. Management keeps saying it's 'strategic realignment' but it feels more like they're trying to cut costs without admitting it. The morale has taken a hit, that's for sure. People are spending more time trying to figure out what's going on internally than actually doing the work. Hopefully, we get some clarity soon.
