Citizens Financial - What's the deal with the budget approvals lately?

Wondering if anyone else is having a nightmare trying to get any kind of budget approved lately? Even for essential tools or training that we've always had access to. It feels like every single dollar is being scrutinized to an extreme degree, and the approval process is taking ages, if it gets approved at all. People are complaining about not having the resources they need to do their jobs effectively. It's creating a lot of friction and making work way harder than it needs to be. Is this just a temporary thing, or is management signaling something bigger here? Feels like we're being set up to 'do more with less' but without any actual support.

I've definitely noticed the same thing. It's like a complete shift in how budgets are being handled. Even small, recurring expenses are suddenly under a microscope, and getting anything beyond the absolute bare minimum approved feels like pulling teeth. The justification process is lengthy and often requires multiple rounds of revisions. It's impacting team morale and efficiency, for sure. Seems like a company-wide initiative, unfortunately.

Yeah, it's been a struggle here too. The turnaround time for approvals has increased dramatically, and the reasons given are often vague. There's a palpable sense of frustration among the teams who are constantly having to justify even minor purchases. It's making it hard to plan and execute projects effectively when you can't reliably secure the necessary resources. Hoping this changes soon.
