Citizens Financial: Anyone else's team struggling to get headcount approved?

Been trying to backfill a couple of critical roles on my team for months now and it's like hitting a brick wall with approvals. Budget seems to be there, but the green light just isn't coming. HR keeps saying 'process review' or 'strategic alignment' but it feels like a soft freeze. Is anyone else experiencing this same bottleneck when trying to bring in new talent or replace departing members? Makes it tough to keep projects on track when you're constantly understaffed. Curious if this is specific to my division or a broader trend across Citizens.

Definitely feel this. We've been in a similar situation for the last quarter. Multiple roles identified as essential to our Q4 deliverables are still stuck in the 'under review' limbo. The usual justifications like 'budget availability' are cited, yet the approvals aren't materializing. It's incredibly frustrating to watch project timelines slip and morale dip because we can't get the resources we need. Hoping for some clarity soon.

Yep, it's been a challenge on my end too. We had a couple of key positions open up and the approval process has been glacial. We're told it's about 'strategic alignment,' but it feels like a general hiring slowdown. Trying to manage workload with the existing team is becoming unsustainable, and the impact on service delivery is noticeable. Hoping this eases up in the next cycle.
