Is the January PA reduction the end of it?

Just saw the WARN filing for the Philadelphia office effective mid-January. I’ve been hearing rumors that this is just the first wave of a broader 'efficiency' push for Q1. My manager is acting incredibly weird during our 1:1s and keep avoiding questions about headcount for our department. Does anyone know if this is strictly localized to specific ops teams in PA or if they are looking at the corporate side too? The vibe in the office is absolutely toxic right now, nobody is getting any actual work done because we’re all just waiting for that calendar invite to pop up with HR attached. If you’re at Citizens, are you seeing similar patterns in your region? Trying to figure out if I should just rip the band-aid off and start applying elsewhere before the market gets flooded with more of us.

The rumors are circulating everywhere, not just in PA. Management has been tight-lipped, but the 'efficiency' talk is code for deeper cuts across the corporate offices too. If your manager is dodging questions, take it as a red flag. Start quietly updating your resume and networking outside the firm now. It’s better to be prepared for another wave than to wait around while the morale continues to tank. They rarely stop at just one location when they start these restructurings.
