Just saw the WARN notice for the Philadelphia office go live yesterday. It’s official: 2025-01-15 was the date. Does anyone have actual insight into which departments got hit this time? I’m hearing whispers that it’s focused on middle management in back-office operations, but the rumors are all over the place. My manager has been completely MIA since Tuesday morning, and the silence in our department is deafening. I’ve been with Citizens for five years, and I’ve never seen this level of opacity during a reduction. If you’re in a support role or IT, have you heard anything about further cuts coming in Q1? I’m trying to decide if it’s time to start polishing the resume before they come for my desk. It feels like the post-holiday "efficiency" talk was just a massive red flag we all chose to ignore. Stay safe out there.

I'm in the same boat, the lack of communication is honestly insulting after years of dedication. My team in the Philly office is still waiting for a formal town hall, but the grapevine is saying back-office and tech roles are taking the brunt of it. It’s impossible to focus when you’re constantly checking your email for a meeting invite that could end your career. If anyone has a list of specific cost centers affected, please share it so those of us still in the dark can stop guessing.

It's a frustrating situation for everyone involved. I heard from a contact in HR that the cuts are part of a broader shift toward automation, which explains why the middle management layer in operations is being hollowed out. I’m sorry you’re dealing with the stress of the silence; it’s a shame they can’t be more transparent with long-term employees. Keep your head up and start dusting off your resume just in case—it’s better to be prepared while you wait for some actual clarity from leadership.
