Anyone else hearing rumblings about restructuring in Marketing?

I've been with Coke for almost 8 years now, mostly on the Marketing side, and things have felt...off lately. My skip-level has been in back-to-back meetings all week, and there's this weird tension in the air. People are being super quiet and avoiding eye contact. I know the company has been talking about 'streamlining operations' but I'm really starting to worry this means layoffs. Anyone else in Marketing (or elsewhere) sensing the same thing? I'm specifically in the Brand Strategy team, if that makes a difference. Just trying to get a feel for whether I should update my resume...

Yep, feeling it too. I'm in shopper marketing, and our budget got slashed pretty dramatically last quarter with zero explanation. Upper management keeps talking about 'efficiency' and 'doing more with less.' I'd brush up your resume, just in case. Better to be prepared than caught off guard. Maybe start networking internally in other departments too, see if there are more stable roles elsewhere within Coke.

Honestly, this happens every few years. Coca-Cola is a massive company, and they're always 'restructuring' something. It's probably just a reorganization of responsibilities, maybe some people getting shuffled around. Don't panic until you actually see something concrete, like an official announcement. All this speculation just fuels anxiety and makes things worse. Focus on your work and try to ignore the noise.
