Heard some rumblings about 'restructuring' - anyone else?

Okay, so I'm in marketing, been with Coke for almost 7 years now. The usual corporate bingo buzzwords are flying around again: 'synergy', 'efficiency', 'streamlining'. But this time it feels different. My manager's been super vague in our 1:1s, and I saw a couple of people from HR walking around with the VP of operations yesterday looking stressed. Anyone else hearing whispers about potential layoffs or a big reorg? I'm starting to feel a little uneasy, especially with the general economic climate right now. Just trying to get a feel for if it's just my team or something bigger going on company-wide. Trying not to freak out but it's hard not to jump to conclusions.

Yeah, I'm in supply chain and things feel weird here too. They're definitely tightening the screws on spending. Travel's basically frozen unless you get VP approval. I overheard someone in finance talking about 'resource optimization' which is never a good sign. Start polishing your resume, just in case. Better to be prepared than caught off guard. Look at internal postings too – maybe a lateral move would be a safe bet.

Honestly, this happens every few years at Coke. They always threaten some massive change, then shuffle a few managers and call it a day. It's probably just another one of those. Remember Project Refresh back in '18? All that hype and nothing really changed. Just keep your head down, do your job, and don't get caught up in the drama. These things have a way of blowing over. But maybe update LinkedIn, just a little...you know...in case.
